How do you feel about asking people for recipes? I don't usually ask. I think I have some kind of mental disorder where I can't handle rejection. The idea of someone saying, "No, it's a family recipe." and the awkwardness that follows is enough for me to just eat it and say, "This is delicious!" and go on my merry way. I went to a party once and they had a fruit dip that was brown and unlike the normal dips I had seen (which are also delicious) and needless to say, I loved it. But instead of asking, I just decided to figure it out myself. No awkwardness there, just me and my kitchen, and most of the time the kitchen is super supportive.
This fruit dip is great with all the fruits I've tried (banana, pineapple, canteloupe, grapes, strawberries) and I think it would be amazing with apples especially, and anything else you want to use it for. And it's a little different (not a lot) which is refreshing sometimes.
Caramely Fruit Dip
ingredients:
1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup brown sugar
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together with a mixer until combined, about 2 minutes. Let sit at room temp until sugar is dissolved and refrigerate until ready to use.
I am really surprised you don't like to ask people for recipes. I always do and have only once been told no and it really wasn't that awkward. It would probably save you a lot of time. BTW I think you meant to say brown sugar.

DeleteI have to say I hate when people say "sorry, it's a secret recipe", if something is good and your business doesn't depend on it, why not sharing it??? But I ask always anyways, that's not a problem for me!!!!!
