The Moment We have ALL BEEN WAITING FOR....

Remember how I said a week or so ago that I had some new features coming to the blog.  And then you didn't hear anything forever.  Yeah, have I mentioned I am a jinx?  I finally got it all figured out and ready (I think) and I am UNBELIEVABLY EXCITED to announce that I have partnered with Ziplist to change your life.  That's right, change your life.  If you already use Ziplist, you know what I am talking about and you don't necessarily need this life-changing experience, but if you don't already use Ziplist, get ready.  Remember what you were doing right this moment because things will never be the same.

THE CHANGES:  {Did you know you can find my blog at girlplusfood.net now?  But that doesn't have anything to do with this}
Starting now, all of the recipe posts will have a save button included at the bottom of the post.  (I am going to go through and make it so all the older ones do too but bare with me.)

Once you have a Ziplist account (which is so easy, all you need is an email address, but you can also chose to login with Facebook if you wish) all you have to do is click on the save button at the bottom of the recipe you want to save.
From there you can add the recipe to your recipe box or shopping list (yes, I said shopping list!  More on that in a minute.)  I always pick add to recipe box and do the list in a minute.
After the recipe is saved, you can view your recipe box or list.  This is what the recipe box looks like

Now you can hover over a recipe and chose to add it to your LIST or your MEAL PLAN.  (That's right, I said meal plan.  Not only can you save the recipes that you come across, but you can also make a meal plan!!)

And add ingredients to a shopping list (don't worry, you can un-check the items in the recipe that you don't need.)

Oh and they categorize the list for you!!!  No more wandering all over the store 30 times because you forgot something in the produce section.  Or maybe that's just me?
I know what you are thinking, how could this get any better?  Wait for it....After you have your list ready, you can either print your shopping list OR YOU CAN PULL IT UP ON YOUR SMART PHONE!!!  Yeah, they have an app for that.

If you think that's all there is, you're wrong.  I know, right?  What more could there be?  Well, not all food blogs and websites have partnered with Ziplist yet, but that doesn't have to stop you.  They have a feature very similar to the pin-it button.  Just install the Ziplist Recipe Clipper (Instructions HERE)

When you find a recipe you want to keep, make sure you are on the page for that recipe, (so instead of the homepage, click on the post for that specific recipe, see how instead of being at lovetobeinthekitchen.blogspot.com it's at this address:  http://lovetobeinthekitchen.blogspot.com/2012/06/carrot-cupcakes-or-cake-with-cream.html because that is specific to the recipe post) and then click the Recipe Clipper button in your toolbar.

Sometimes if recipe posts aren't formatted a certain way, not all the ingredients end up on the list.  You can make sure all ingredients are included and add them manually if they aren't.  Then add to your recipe box as usual.

No more excuses, they make it so easy for you to try all the recipes you have been saving!

One last lovely thing:  I have added a button at the side for you to go to your recipe box easily whenever you need to.  It's all almost too good to be true.  See it?  On the right?
These features all seem so great, it's hard to believe they are FREE!  Can you tell how excited I am about this whole situation?  I might start telling random wandering fools in the grocery store about it.

Now that's out of the way, I can post about Tyler's birthday and his birthday treat, probably tomorrow.  That's enough information for one day, right?

Have a great day!
