Me, Being Domestic

My friend, Rachel (fine, maybe we just know each other, but I am saying she's my friend, mmmkay?) is having a photo contest on her blog.  In the rules of the contest, it states, 
"pictures of yourself doing what you do best. Or most."

  This here, just happens to be what I do best.  

And maybe most (unless you count sleeping-that's what I should have posted).  

We live in a cardboard-box-sized apartment but are lucky enough to have a pool in our backyard.  This pool might make up for the tiny oven/stove that I deal with and only ONE bathroom (seriously, it's killin' me).  


So this is me being domestic.  I probably had a diet coke in hand, preferably with a lemon or lime and maybe a book or my Kindle nearby.  I think I look forward to this time of day almost as much as my kids.  

What, you thought I would post a cooking photo?  I might rather be doing this than cooking.  But sometimes when the kids swim, I do look at cooking magazines or cookbooks, depending on my mood. :)


oh and p.s. I had to edit the photo to look as if I had lip gloss on!  Can you imagine going out to the pool without it?  Ridiculous.
